

Call for Papers
With increasing political pressure experienced by our communities globally this gathering of rainbow researchers and practitioners serves to further our visibility and solidarity. We invite presenters to join us in lighting up our fields of research and practice with the creativity and hope that fires our ongoing presence in history and the world to come.
Presentation proposals (300 words max) are invited in the areas of:
New rainbow research within any discipline
New rainbow methodologies or practices in research
Interdisciplinary projects incorporating a queer lens
Kaupapa Māori, takatāpui/LGBTQIA+ research
Intersectional queer studies/queering
Intersections of identity: rainbow and deaf, disabled, BIPOC, etc.
Rainbow cultural studies
Rainbow/takatāpui practice-led research
Creative, interactive, and performance-oriented research
Other rainbow research not already mentioned
Presenters will have 15 minutes for their presentation and 5 minutes for questions.
Call for papers opens: Friday 4th April, 2025
Deadline for submission of abstract: Friday 4th July 2025
Notification of acceptance: Friday 1st August 2025
Registration opens: Monday 4th August, 2025
All presenters must register, but the symposium itself is free.
