Welcome to “Lighting the Academy” the second of the National Rainbow Research Symposia. Our vision for this one-day symposium is to create an inclusive and forward-thinking academic platform that amplifies LGBTQIA+ voices, fosters cutting-edge research, and envisions a thriving future for queer, takatāpui and trans communities. By shining a light on present research and future possibilities, we aim to inspire innovation, mobilise advocacy, and empower individuals to pave the rainbow road.
